The Poké Ball (モンスターボール, Monsutābōru?, Monster Ball in original Japanese language versions) is a spherical contrivance in the Pokémon series that is used by Pokémon Trainers to capture new Pokémon and store them. The Poké Ball is also a central symbol of the franchise, and is often found on Pokémon-themed products. The Poké Ball (モンスターボール, Monsutā Bōru, lit. Monster Ball) is an item in Super Smash Flash 2. They were left out of the original Super Smash Flash, but were added in the sequel. Poké Balls allow the player to call forth a randomly chosen Pokémon. The Pokémon will usually have a direct influence on the battle by attacking opponents, but some only cause status effects, act as reflectors, or do nothing to change the battle. When encountering a Pokémon in the wild, players can attempt to catch a Pokémon by holding down on the Poké Ball, sliding upwards, and letting go to launch it towards the Pokémon. When encountering a Pokémon in the wild, players can attempt to catch a Pokémon by holding down on the Poké Ball, sliding upwards, and letting go to launch it towards the Pokémon. Players can influence bonuses on catching Pokémon by aiming the ball towards the center of the Pokémon while letting the circle indicator shrink down. The closer the ball is to the center, the better bonus you'll get. Players can also hold down the ball and spin it for a curveball bonus that grants additional experience. Selecting a better type of Poké Ball will make the Pokémon easier to capture. thumb|Totes les Poké Balls. A Poké Ball (sometimes spelled as Pokéball) is a round device used in the Pokémon series to catch and contain Pokémon. The Poké Ball also serves as a symbol for the series. There are many types of the Poké Ball, such as the Great Ball or Ultra Ball. The term can be used to describe the basic style of ball, or for the entire group. Standard Poké Balls (モンスターボール Monster Ball), roughly eight pounds in weight, are the major Poké Ball in the Pokémon saga. It features a red top, white bottom, and a horizontal black ring circling the ball. This type of Poké Ball is the weakest and the only type typically available at the beginning of the Pokémon games. It is also commonly used in Pokémon Anime. It has a catch rate modifier of 1x in the catch formula. Many Pokémon have a similar appearance to the Poké Ball, like Voltorb, Electrode, Foongus or Amoonguss. The Poké Ball (モンスターボール, Monsutābōru?, Monster Ball in original Japanese language versions) is a spherical contrivance in the Pokémon series that is used by Pokémon Trainers to capture new Pokémon and store them. The Poké Ball is also a central symbol of the franchise, and is often found on Pokémon-themed products. thumb|right|Ces balles rondes, d'apparence attrayante et moderne, sont en réalité d'ignobles machines à tuer. In Brawl, the Poké Ball makes a unique sound effect when it appears, thus alerting one to its presence even if it appears off screen. In Brawl, the number of Poké Balls that can be on-screen at once has been reduced to three, instead of the unlimited number of Poké Balls that could appear in Melee. In Training Mode in Melee, a numerous amount of Poké Balls may be taken out, however, some that are thrown may result into letting out no Pokémon at all. The Poké Ball is also featured as a trophy in every game except for the original Super Smash Bros. on N64. However, unlike Assist Trophies, the Pokémon is not automatically summoned when the player picks it up. In order for the Pokémon to appear, the player must throw the Poké Ball. This also means that they can be thrown at opponents. The Poké Ball must land in order to release the Pokémon inside it.
