El Metro Batalla (Subterráneo en Hispanoamérica por el anime, Battle Subway en inglés, Metro Batalla en japonés) es un nuevo recinto introducido en la quinta generación, dedicado a la batallas con entrenadores fuertes. Se encuentra ubicado en Ciudad Mayólica. Al igual que en la Torre Batalla, se tendrá que enfrentar contra 7 entrenadores diferentes. De esa forma, derrotando a los siete, se obtendrán puntos de batalla para canjearlos por premios. Al haber derrotado a tres rondas de siete entrenadores te enfrentarás al Jefe del Metro (Subway Boss en inglés), algo parecido al As del Frente Batalla. Tras ganar 21 batallas consecutivas en cualquier linea del Metro (exceptuando el Wi-Fi) te enfrentarás a Fero y Caril, con uno u otro dependiendo de la línea en que te encuentres, o bien con ambos a la vez. No importa si tu Pokémon está en un nivel bajo, al entrar a este subirá temporalmente al nivel 50. thumb|250px|Artwork oficial del Metro Batalla.
