When they dropped out of hyperspace, they fired on the forcefield until asked to stop by Colonel Lionel Pendergast of the Prometheus. After SG-1 detonated the Mark IX and the field expanded, Gerak challenged them to fire on the field or face his ships in battle. The Prometheus joined the three Jaffa vessels in their attack on the field until Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter discovered that the field was being powered by their weapons fire. After the field inveloped the planet, several small objects came through the Stargate and collided with the ships. Gerak's ship and the Prometheus were damaged and the other Ha'tak's were destroyed. The Prometheus joined the three Jaffa vessels in their attack on the field until Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter discovered that the field was being powered by their weapons fire. After the field inveloped the planet, several small objects came through the Stargate and collided with the ships. Gerak's ship and the Prometheus were damaged and the other Ha'tak's were destroyed. Gerak retreated and scanned the planet from a distance and reported to Prometheus that the planet had begun to collapse before entering hyperspace. (SG1: "Beachhead") After Gerak and other members of the Jaffa High Council began to accept Origin, Teal'c and Bra'tac gathered Jaffa in opposition to the Free Jaffa Nation's acceptance of Origin on Chulak. The Prior ordered Gerak to take his ship to the planet and destroy them. Gerak traveled to Chulak and ringed to the planet and warned Teal'c and Bra'tac to stop resisting or be destroyed. After returning to his ship, Gerak had a change of heart and returned to Dakara. After being transformed into a Prior, he returned to Chulak in his ship along with eleven other Ha'taks. Gerak hailed Teal'c who proposed at meeting on the surface where he was able to convince Gerak to betray the Ori. (SG1: "The Fourth Horseman, Part 1", "The Fourth Horseman, Part 2")
