A MMORPG term which stands for Mesmerize. Mesmerize works as a hypnotic trance that is cast by magic upon a mob or enemy player. This spell causes the target (multiple targets in the case of an AoE spell) to be unable to move or react to game stimuli. For the length of the mez, they are as still as trees. UNLESS someone breaks the mez by causing damage to the mesmerized target, at which point the target is free from the effects of the spell and can react normally -- which usually means taking out the squishy that mezzed everyone... ;) Mez (メズ Mezu) was a member of the Four Rakshasa Demons, who served as the Prime Minister's squad of executioners. Mez was a short girl with a petite build. Her hair was blonde and styled in pigtails decorated with horseshoes that also served as weights. She had green eyes and her skin was considerably tanned. She wore long leggings and a shirt, which she left open, displaying a bikini/swimsuit top. Like her fellow Rakshasa Demons, she had armored plating on her forearms. Gozuki is Mez's biological father. Some games have mechanisms whereby a player can cast a counter-spell that mitigates the effects of the mez, such as a Purge of some sort. The voice of Mez in Funimation dub was provided by Mike McFarland. In original Japanese, Mez speaks with adding おに ("oni") to the end of each sentence. From Dragon Ball Wiki, a Wikia wiki.

Mez seemed to be very easygoing, even when in combat. She casually seemed impressed by the death of her comrade and disappointed by the seemingly easy death of Lubbock. Her personality does not seem to change much even when her own life is in danger, even going so far as to respond to Lubbock's flirting. She also did not seem scared about dying or killing others, noting that as assassins it came with the territory.
