Fairy tale Fairy Tale Fairy Tale FAIRY TALE
rdfs:comment
Fairy Tale is a group of Yōkai dedicated to throwing harmony into chaos and ruling over the Human World. They appear in the second serialization of the manga series. They are well-connected and maintain a great deal of assets, both in finances and in manpower. Fairy Tale operates out of their flying fortress, the "Floating Garden". After the death of the Commander-In-Chief Gyokuro and the defeat of the subdivision leaders as well as the destruction of the Floating Garden, Fairy Tale has fallen in ruin, possibly marking the end of the organization for good. In cultures where demons and witches are perceived as real, fairy tales may merge into legendary narratives, where the context is perceived by teller and hearers as having historical actuality. However, unlike legends and epics they usually do not contain more than superficial references to religion and actual places, persons, and events; they take place once upon a time rather than in actual times. A fairy tale is fiction story involving folklore, legend, mystic and mythological elements. Fairy tales are often aimed at children with the aim of teaching them a moral. In 2370 in Keiko O'Brien's classroom on Deep Space 9 the Tellarite Gann described the story of the Prodigal from the Bajoran religion as a fairy tale, Keiko was quick to point out the young Tellarite should show a little more respect to other people's beliefs, the stories of their faith being sacred to the Bajoran people. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky) A fairy tale is a story featuring folkloric characters such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, giants, and others. The fairy tale is a sub-class of the folktale. These stories often involve princes and princesses, and modern versions usually have a happy ending. In cultures where demons and witches are perceived as real, fairy tales may merge into legendary narratives, where the context is perceived by teller and hearers as having historical actuality. However unlike legends and epics they usually do not contain more than superficial references to religion and actual places, persons, and events. Although these allusions are often critical in understanding the origins of these fanciful stories. 『FAIRY TALE』(フェアリー・テール)は、2002年10月23日に発売された倉木麻衣の3作目のオリジナルアルバム。 Fairy Tale is the 33rd episode of the 2003 Astro Boy Series. Nina, a girl whose father always buy gifts for her, wasn't satisfied with her presents. She demanded a Pigwidgen, a fairy with three antennas. Meanwhile, scary creatures from people's mind began to appear and steal valuable items. thumb|left Der Fairy Tale ist die Waffe von Piximon. A fairy tale was a type of mythic story often involving magical aspects and an elemental lesson to be learned by children. In 2267, Mr. Hengist dismissed the mellitus of Alpha Majoris I as a fairy tale. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold" ) In 2364, Natasha Yar dismissed stories of Aldea's planetary cloaking as a "wonderful fairy tale". (TNG: "When The Bough Breaks" ) Chief O'Brien frequently read fairy tale stories to his daughter Molly such as Rumpelstiltskin at bedtime. (DS9: "If Wishes Were Horses") "Fairy Tale" is the 12th episode of season two of Wizards of Waverly Place, and the 33rd of the overall series. It first aired on January 25, 2009. In cultures in which figures such as witches are perceived as real, and the teller and hearer of a tale see it as having historical actuality, fairy tales may merge into legendary narratives. However, unlike legends and epics, they usually do not contain more than scholarly references to religion and actual places, persons, and events; they take place "once upon a time" rather than in actual times. Hi!! Fairy tales were stories about the supernatural that were often told to children. Fairy tale is a thing in the Shrek universe Fairy tales were stories that typically featured folkloric characters, such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, dwarves, giants, witchcraft, mermaids, or gnomes, and usually magic or enchantments. Fairy tales may be distinguished from other folk narratives such as legends (which generally involve belief in the veracity of the events described) and explicitly moral tales, including beast fables. The Fairy Tale is the third strongest weapon for Aeris, being bested by the Umbrella and Princess Guard. It provides 37 Attack, 103 Accuracy, +8 Magic, and has seven single Materia slots with normal growth. It could be bought for 2500 in Junon (discs 2/3), or dropped from Reno at Gongaga. A fairy Tale is a short story, often containing morals and magic (although this is not always the case)

(DS9: "If Wishes Were Horses") The Adventures of Flotter, a series of children's holonovels, utilized a fairy tale aesthetic and style. Naomi Wildman enjoyed the holoprograms during her time aboard the USS Voyager. Several adults aboard Voyager had similarly enjoyed these fairy tale-style adventures during their own childhoods. (VOY: "Once Upon a Time") The title of the episode that introduces The Adventures of Flotter: Once Upon a Time, references a famous, common opening line of Western fairy tales. The term could also be used in a derogatory manner in reference to something that the speaker might find absurd or ridiculous. Some Cardassians, such as Dukat, thought the Celestial Temple was a Bajoran "fairy tale" before the Bajoran wormhole was discovered in 2369. They also thought the same about ancient contact, at least until 2371. When Dukat told Benjamin Sisko that he was not threatening him, but merely concerned for his safety, Sisko replied sarcastically, "Ah. Then I'm glad I was wrong. For a moment there I thought that you had been put in charge of the Cardassian Ministry for the Refutation of Bajoran Fairy Tales." (DS9: "Explorers") O'Brien told Nog the Great Material Continuum sounded like a Ferengi fairy tale, but Nog told him it was real. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River") "Smiley" O'Brien thought our universe and its Humans not being slaves to the Alliance sounded like a fairy tale. (DS9: "Crossover") In 2376, Neelix assured Tom Paris that he hadn't told the children on USS Voyager Mother Goose stories, as they were frightening, giving examples of ogres and child-eating monsters. (VOY: "The Haunting of Deck Twelve") In cultures where demons and witches are perceived as real, fairy tales may merge into legendary narratives, where the context is perceived by teller and hearers as having historical actuality. However, unlike legends and epics they usually do not contain more than superficial references to religion and actual places, persons, and events; they take place once upon a time rather than in actual times. Fairy tales are found in oral folktales and in literary form. The history of the fairy tale is particularly difficult to trace, because only the literary forms can survive. Still, the evidence of literary works at least indicates that fairy tales have existed for thousands of years, although not perhaps recognized as a genre; the name "fairy tale" was first ascribed to them by Madame d'Aulnoy. Literary fairy tales are found over the centuries all over the world, and when they collected them, folklorists found fairy tales in every culture. Fairy tales, and works derived from fairy tales, are still written today. The older fairy tales were intended for an audience of adults as well as children, but they were associated with children as early as the writings of the précieuses; the Brothers Grimm titled their collection Children's and Household Tales, and the link with children has only grown stronger with time. Folklorists have classified fairy tales in various ways. Among the most notable are the are the Aarne-Thompson classification system and the morphological analysis of Vladimir Propp. Other folklorists have interpreted the tales' significance, but no school has been definitively established for the meaning of the tales. Fairy tales were stories that typically featured folkloric characters, such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, dwarves, giants, witchcraft, mermaids, or gnomes, and usually magic or enchantments. Fairy tales may be distinguished from other folk narratives such as legends (which generally involve belief in the veracity of the events described) and explicitly moral tales, including beast fables. Fairy tales were stories about the supernatural that were often told to children. Fairy Tale is the 33rd episode of the 2003 Astro Boy Series. Fairy tale is a thing in the Shrek universe In cultures in which figures such as witches are perceived as real, and the teller and hearer of a tale see it as having historical actuality, fairy tales may merge into legendary narratives. However, unlike legends and epics, they usually do not contain more than scholarly references to religion and actual places, persons, and events; they take place "once upon a time" rather than in actual times. The history of the fairy tale is particularly difficult to trace, because only the literary forms can survive. Still, folklorists have found these forms from every culture over many centuries. Thus the oral fairy tale may have existed for at least that long, although not perhaps recognized as a genre. The name "fairy tale" was first ascribed to them by Madame d'Aulnoy. Fairy tales of the past were disturbing by today’s standards and were in effect a way of teaching children and adults alike things to watch out for in the way in which the world works. For example, little red riding hood, in which the young girl strays from the path to grandma's house and ends up in bed with the wolf who 'eats her up' referring to a sexual act rather than just the act of physically eating her. Today's version has been turned into a children's story, where the original was quite gruesome. (See 'The Classic Fairy Tales' by Maria Tatar) Folklorists have classified fairy tales in various ways. Among the most notable are the Aarne-Thompson classification system and the morphological analysis of Vladimir Propp. Other folklorists have interpreted the tales' significance, but no school has been definitively established for the meaning of the tales. Although the fairy tale is a clearly distinct genre, the definition that marks a work as a fairy tale is a source of considerable dispute. Vladimir Propp, in his Morphology of the Folktale, criticized the common distinction between "fairy tales" and "animal tales" on the grounds that many tales contained both fantastic elements and animals. Nevertheless, to select works for his analysis, Propp used all Russian folktales classified as a folk lore Aarne-Thompson 300-749—in a cataloguing system that made such a distinction—to gain a clear set of tales. His own analysis identified fairy tales by their plot elements, but that in itself has been criticized, as the analysis does not lend itself easily to tales that do not involve a quest, and furthermore, the same plot elements are found in non-fairy tale works. One universally agreed-on factor is that the nature of a tale does not depend on whether fairies appear in it. Obviously, many people, including Angela Carter in her introduction to the Virago Book of Fairy Tales, have noted that a great many of so-called fairy tales do not feature fairies at all. This is partly because of the history of the English term "fairy tale" which derives from the French phrase conte de fées, and was first used in the collection of Madame D'Aulnoy in 1697. As Stith Thompson and Carter herself point out, talking animals and the presence of magic seem to be more common to the fairy tale than fairies themselves. However, the mere presence of animals that talk does not make a tale a fairy tale, especially when the animal is clearly a mask on a human face, as in fables. In his essay "On Fairy-Stories", J. R. R. Tolkien agreed with the exclusion of "fairies" from the definition, defining fairy tales as stories about the adventures of men in Faërie, the land of fairies, fairytale princesses, dwarves, elves, and not only other magical species but many other marvels. However, the same essay excludes tales that are often considered fairy tales, citing as an example The Monkey's Heart, which Andrew Lang included in The Lilac Fairy Book. Other tales that include no magic but are often classified as fairy tales include What Is the Fastest Thing in the World? and Catskin. Some folklorists prefer to use the German term Märchen to refer to the genre, a practice given weight by the definition of Thompson in his 1977 edition of The Folktale: "a tale of some length involving a succession of motifs or episodes. It moves in an unreal world without definite locality or definite creatures and is filled with the marvelous. In this never-never land, humble heroes kill adversaries, succeed to kingdoms and marry princesses." The characters and motifs of fairy tales are simple and archetypal: princesses and goose-girls; youngest sons and gallant princes; ogres, giants, dragons, and trolls; wicked stepmothers and false heroes; fairy godmothers and other magical helpers, often talking horses, or foxes, or birds; glass mountains; and prohibitions and breaking of prohibitions. Italo Calvino cited the fairy tale as a prime example of "quickness" in literature, because of the economy and concision of the tales.. Hi!! A fairy tale is a story featuring folkloric characters such as fairies, goblins, elves, trolls, giants, and others. Many people, including Angela Carter in her introduction to the Virago Book of Fairy Tales have noted that a great deal of so-called fairy tales do not feature fairies at all. (Thompson: 8) A fairy tale is fiction story involving folklore, legend, mystic and mythological elements. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky) Annika Hansen stated in a 2385 interview with Jake Sisko that the idea abou Kathryn Janeway's actions against the Borg Collective having ending the Borg threat to be a fairytale.
